The Linux Foundation is publishing reports on who and how is developing the Linux kernel. How it is growing, an analysis of corporate contribution, etc. It seems that about 1,000 developer are working for each release, some of which are hired by about 200 companies. The average contribution is about 10 patches per developer per release (although the distribution vary a lot, as expected).

If you like LGS and you are thinking about use it but you miss some functionality, there is no problem, now is much simple to use and customize it.
I have been working on a new system that autodiscovers applications placed in the apps directory and automatically includes them in the system. Also external libraries are supported and, of course, automatically added to the path, so if you want to develop an application for LGS you only have to be aware of your application issues forgetting every configuration or path problems.
Users have a new way to tag their reality objects for LGS: the "Map mode". They can select it from "Tag resource" mode in real view activity. These are some features:

Los usuarios pueden vincular contenidos multimedia a un objeto apuntando con el teléfono
Today the mode "Fast", which I explained yesterday, has been improved, giving the users a chance to decide the distance of the target they want to tag. By default, for faster tagging, the distance is 1 meter, but using a seek bar showed over the screen, users can modify this parameter in a range from 1 meter to 500 meters, making this mode more useful.
